Registration

Option One: Download the form. You can click on the link download the form and bring it already completed to the registration point.

Option Two: Registration forms available on the day. No pre-registration necessary.

 

Walk starts and ends: Village Hall in Portballintrae (adjacent to the car park) at 8 am.

Walkers should register in the Village Hall.

The Village Hall will close at 5pm - all walkers must have completed walk and returned to Hall by 5pm.

 

On completion of the walk badges and certificates are available for those doing the full distance.

Entry Fee: Adult (over 16) £10, Child £5.

Further Information

Description:

  • A 30km distance challenge walk organised by the Bannside Ramblers. The route follows the scenic cliff top path from Portballintrae past the Giants Causeway to Portbradden and back again. The undulating path is well defined and surfaced but contains a number of muddy ascents and descents and crosses occasional loose rocks and stones. 

  • Participants must commence their walk by 9:15am and finish by 5:00pm. On completion of the walk badges and certificates are available for those doing the full distance.

What To Bring:

  • Participants must bring suitable clothing and footwear for the prevailing conditions at and during the time of the walk, particularly if inclement weather is forecast.

  • Walkers should also bring adequate food and drink for the distance, however, several water stops at various locations will be manned by club members.

  • Dogs are permitted but owners must keep them under control at all times and clean up after them.

Booking details:

  • Registration is done on the day STRICTLY between 08:00am and 09:00am at the Village Hall, Beach Road,  Portballintrae, BT57 8US.   Please allow sufficient travelling time in order to arrive for registration.

  • Toilets facilities are available in the hall and car park.

  • The event cost £10 for adults and £5 for children.

  • Participants can go half distance if desired, but MUST indicate so at registration and arrange their own transportation from Portbradden.
